Kel’el Ware Joins Heat Legends In NBA Achievement

Miami Heat rookie center Kel’el Ware has been named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team, marking a significant milestone in his debut season. Selected 15th overall in the 2024 NBA Draft, Ware becomes the 15th player in Heat franchise history to earn All-Rookie honors .

Despite joining the Heat’s regular rotation midway through the season, Ware made a substantial impact. From January 19 onward, he averaged 11.1 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 2 combined steals and blocks in 28 minutes per game. Notably, he led all rookies with 15 double-doubles, demonstrating his efficiency and consistency on the court .
Ware’s presence also positively influenced team performance. When he was on the floor, the Heat outscored opponents by 2.4 points per 100 possessions, and the team’s offensive rating increased by four points. His pairing with All-Star Bam Adebayo proved effective, with the duo outscoring opponents by 6.45 points per 100 possessions when playing together .
