The Bayern Munich shirt number and contract duration of Jonathan Tah have been revealed.
Jonathan Tah has officially joined Bayern Munich on a free transfer from Bayer Leverkusen. The 29-year-old German international has signed a contract that runs until June 30, 2029, and will wear the number 4 shirt .
Bayern Munich secured Tah’s signature despite competition from top clubs like FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. The club plans to register him for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, which begins on June 14 in the United States. However, to avoid paying a transfer fee, Bayern will wait until his contract with Leverkusen officially expires before completing the registration .
Tah’s arrival bolsters Bayern’s defense, especially with key players like Dayot Upamecano and Kim Min-jae recovering from injuries. Bayern’s management views Tah as a reliable and experienced leader who can provide stability to the team’s backline
