Following PSG’s Champions League victory, hundreds are arrested in clashes in Paris.

Following Paris Saint-Germain’s (PSG) historic 5-0 victory over Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League final on May 31, 2025, celebrations in Paris quickly escalated into violent clashes between fans and police.
Approximately 5,400 police officers were deployed across the city to manage the unrest, particularly along the Champs-Élysées and near the Arc de Triomphe. Officers used tear gas, pepper spray, and water cannons to disperse crowds as fans set off flares and fireworks. In the Porte de Saint-Cloud area, near PSG’s Parc des Princes stadium, radical groups clashed with police, leading to property damage and public disturbances.
The French Interior Minister condemned the violence, distinguishing between genuine fans and those committing crimes under the guise of celebration. The unrest also spread to other cities, including Grenoble, resulting in nearly 300 arrests nationwide.
Despite the celebrations marking PSG’s first-ever Champions League title, the night was marred by violence and disorder, overshadowing the club’s historic achievement
