Scotland Announce Squad For Friendlies

Scotland manager Steve Clarke has announced a 25-man squad for the upcoming international friendlies against Iceland on June 6 at Hampden Park and Liechtenstein away on June 9. These matches serve as preparation for the World Cup qualifiers resuming in September.

Notably, seven uncapped players are included: Kieron Bowie, Josh Doig, Connor Barron, Andy Irving, Lennon Miller, Robby McCrorie, and Cieran Slicker. Ryan Christie, Craig Gordon, Ben Doak, and Lyndon Dykes are unavailable due to injuries.
Manager Steve Clarke aims to expand the national teamβs player pool and introduce greater competition. He plans to test both back-four and back-five formations during these friendlies, following tactical shifts made after Euro 2024.
