TRANSFER : ANGEL GOMES LEAVES LILLE

England international Angel Gomes has confirmed he will leave Lille at the end of his contract this summer, becoming a free agent after four years with the French club. The 24-year-old midfielder joined Lille in 2020, making 134 appearances and scoring ten goals during his tenure. In a heartfelt message, Gomes expressed gratitude to Lille, describing the club as “more than just a team” and thanking teammates and fans for their support.
Gomes, who began his career at Manchester United and became the first Premier League player born in the 21st century, has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs. Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly confident of securing his signature, viewing him as a valuable addition to their midfield. West Ham United have also shown interest, with manager Graham Potter identifying Gomes as a potential key player to control possession in midfield.
As Gomes prepares for the next chapter in his career, his departure from Lille marks the end of a significant period of growth and development in Ligue 1.
