A Real Madrid star faces a significant setback in a court lawsuit

Real Madrid’s coach, Carlo Ancelotti, is currently facing serious legal challenges in Spain. He stands accused of evading over €1 million in taxes by failing to declare earnings from image rights during his first tenure at the club in 2014 and 2015. Prosecutors are seeking a prison sentence of four years and nine months, along with a €3.2 million fine. Ancelotti has denied the charges, stating that he relied on advice from Real Madrid and external consultants and never intended to commit fraud .
Another Real Madrid player, Raúl Asencio, is under investigation for allegedly recording and distributing explicit videos involving a 16-year-old minor without her consent. The incident reportedly occurred in June 2023 at a beach club in Gran Canaria. Asencio and three other individuals could face charges related to child pornography, invasion of privacy, and the use of minors for pornographic purposes. While Asencio was initially a witness, he is now considered a suspect, and a court has denied his appeal to terminate the investigation .
These legal issues have cast a shadow over Real Madrid, with both Ancelotti and Asencio facing potential legal consequences.
