Fernando Vargas Jr. extended his undefeated streak to 17-0 (15 KOs) with an impressive fourth-round knockout over Gonzalo Gaston Coria on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Thunder Studios in Long Beach, California .

In the early rounds, Vargas faced pressure from Coria, who was eager to exchange blows. Vargas remained patient, waiting for his moment to attack. In the fourth round, a right hook followed by a straight left sent Coria to the canvas, prompting referee Raul Caiz Jr. to call off the bout at 1:44 of the round .
This victory marks Vargas Jr.’s 15th knockout in 17 professional fights, showcasing his power and precision in the ring. As the eldest son of former world champion Fernando Vargas, he continues to build his own legacy in the junior middleweight division.
