The proposed transfer fee is around £126 million (€150 million), surpassing the club’s previous record of £75 million for Virgil van Dijk.

Wirtz, 22, had been a top target for Bayern Munich, but he has informed them of his preference to join Liverpool. Additionally, Wirtz has reportedly begun house hunting in Liverpool, indicating his commitment to the move.
