TRANSFER : Slot on Frimpong rumours

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has remained tight-lipped regarding the imminent transfer of Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen. Despite reports confirming that the Dutch right-back has completed his medical and agreed to a £29.5 million move, Slot has refrained from making any official statements. When questioned about the transfer, he responded, “What do you think? I think we all know that the moment we announce something, that’s when we can speak about it openly. Until then, there’s no need to talk about anyone” .

Frimpong is expected to sign a five-year contract with Liverpool, bringing his pace and attacking prowess to the right flank. His arrival is anticipated to fill the void left by Trent Alexander-Arnold’s departure to Real Madrid. Slot’s discretion aligns with Liverpool’s policy of withholding comments until transfers are officially finalized.
The club is set to announce the signing later this week, marking Frimpong as the first major acquisition under Slot’s management.
