BREAKING NEWS : KEPA SET TO JOIN ARSENAL

Arsenal are reportedly close to finalizing a £5 million transfer for Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, aiming to bolster their squad for the 2025–26 season. This move comes after Kepa’s successful loan spells at Real Madrid and Bournemouth, where he regained top form, recording a 71% save rate and eight clean sheets in 31 Premier League matches.
The 30-year-old Spanish international has a £5 million release clause in his contract with Chelsea, who are looking to offload him as part of a squad overhaul. Arsenal see Kepa as a strong option to challenge David Raya for the No. 1 spot, with manager Mikel Arteta valuing his ability to play out from the back.
Although Bournemouth are also interested in re-signing Kepa, their lack of European football may be a disadvantage in attracting the goalkeeper.
This potential signing would address Arsenal’s need for a reliable backup goalkeeper, especially with young talents like Tommy Setford not yet ready for first-team duties. The Gunners are keen to finalize the goalkeeper position swiftly to focus on other areas of the squad
