AC Milan fires head coach Conceicao.

AC Milan have dismissed head coach Sérgio Conceição after just five months in charge, following a disappointing 2024–25 season that saw the club finish eighth in Serie A and fail to qualify for European competitions. Despite winning the Supercoppa Italiana with a dramatic 3–2 comeback against Inter Milan in January, Conceição’s tenure was marred by inconsistent league performances and a 1–0 loss to Bologna in the Coppa Italia final .
The decision to part ways with Conceição reflects the club’s ongoing struggles and fan discontent. Supporters expressed their frustration through a human tifo reading “GO HOME,” directed at the club’s American owners, RedBird Capital, and criticized the influence of club legend Zlatan Ibrahimović in recruitment decisions .
Reports suggest that former Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri, who previously led the team from 2010 to 2014 and clinched the Serie A title in 2010–11, is set to return to San Siro. Allegri has been without a club since leaving Juventus at the end of the 2023–24 season
